Practical value of appreciating this fact:

It points people to the source, the captain of our salvation; not to be discouraged when we look to ourselves; but be encouraged when we look to God.

Sanctification begins with a definite breach with sin.

Sanctification is inseparable from justification.

   Breach is not only with known sin, but from the power of sin.
