Lecture 33                               SANCTIFICATION:  PROGRESS OF SANCTIFICATION

¦¨¸tªº¶i®i

Progress of Sanctification

  1. ¦¨¸t»PºÙ¸q¥i¤À¿ë¡A¥i¬O¤£¯à¤À¶}¡C

Sanctification and justification are distinguishable but inseparable.

  1. §ÚÌ»ÝnºÙ¸q¡A¦]¬°§ÚÌªº¸oÄ^¡C

Need for justification = guilt of sinner.

§ÚÌ»Ýn¦¨¸t¡A¦]¬°§ÚÌ»Ýn±q¸oªº¦Ã¬V¤¤¤£Â_ªº³Q¼ä²b¡C

Need for sanctification = continuing cleansing from pollution.

  1. ºÙ¸q = ªk«ß¤Wªº«ÅºÙ¡C

      Justification = forensic act.

¦¨¸t = ¤W«Ò¤@¨t¦Cªº¤u§@¡]¬O¤W«Òªº¤u§@¡^¡C

Sanctification = series of acts (= work of God).

  1. ºÙ¸q = ¹ï©Ò¦³ªº«H®{³£¬O¤@¼Ëªº¡C

Justification = the same for all believers.

¦¨¸t = ¦³¤£¦Pªºµ{«×¡A¤£¦Pªº¶i®i¡C

Sanctification = different in degrees of advancement.

  1. ºÙ¸q = Ãö¥G§ÚÌ¦b¤W«Ò±«eªk«ß¤Wªº¦a¦ì¡C

Justification has to do with our legal status before God.

¦¨¸t = Ãö¥G§ÚÌ¹D¼w¤Wªº¦a¦ì¡]§ÚÌªº¤ßùØ / ¥Í©Rªº¯u¬Û¡^¡C

Sanctification has to do with our moral status.

  1. ºÙ¸q¡R°ò·þªº¸q³QÂkºâµ¹§ÚÌ¡C

Justification = Christ¡¦s righteousness is imputed to us.

¦¨¸t¡R¦b§ÚÌùØ±§@¦¨°ò·þªº¼Ò¼Ë¡C

Sanctification = Christ¡¦s pattern is wrought in us.

  1. ºÙ¸q¡Rµ¹§ÚÌ¥Ã¥Íªº¦W¤À¡AÅv¬` (title)¡C

Justification gives us the title, the right to eternal life.

¦¨¸t¡R·Ç³Æ§ÚÌ¨É¨ü¥Ã¥Í¡R¨Ï§ÚÌ®Äªk°ò·þªº¼Ë¦¡¡C

Sanctification prepares us to enjoy that life in conforming us to the image of Christ.

«H¤ß¡R«H¾a¨º¦ì¯à¨Ï¤H´_¬¡ªº¤W«Ò¡C

            Faith is faith in God who is able to raise the dead.

¦]¦¹¡R«H¤ß = «H¾a´_¬¡ªº¥D°ò·þ¡C

            Therefore: Faith is faith in the resurrected Christ.

            °ò·þªº´_¬¡ -> °ò·þ¬°¥D¡C

Resurrection -> Lordship of Christ

            ¦]¦¹¡R¨Ï§ÚÌºÙ¸qªº«H¤ß = ¦P®É¬Û«H°ò·þ¬O¥D¡C

Therefore: Faith in justification is at the same time to confess his Lordship.

            ¦]¦¹¡RºÙ¸q©M¦¨¸t¤£¥i¤À¶}¡C

Therefore: Sanctification and justification are inseparable.

            ºÙ¸q©M¦¨¸t¤£¥i¤À¶}¡A¦n¹³¡R

            Justification/sanctification inseparable: parallel to how:
